That's cool, I jumped in headfirst when I was 13 but had studied the paranormal since I learned what a poltergeist and a vampire was at age 5
Avatar
there's been a shared mindscape experimental session over at Gearheart some months ago, so that was cool; from there I've been doing stuff like energy manipulation, healing, getting my 3rd eye in gear, that sort of thing
Avatar
Sounds neat, I would love to try some energy work or scanning exercises some time if you are up for that
Avatar
I've gotta say I'm still kind of staring out on a number of things but, yeah it's a really cool-looking kind of practice
Avatar
The rabbit hole never ends and there are only more questions.
11:11 PM
(i think thats my favorite part)
Avatar
the more you illuminate the more shadows you cast
Avatar
I like that, adding it to my repretoire of "mystical shit to say"
11:12 PM
I have a wizard fetish and am a total dork for mystical shit tbh
11:12 PM
even the tacky stuff sometimes >.>
Avatar
lol, I've got a bunch of such sayings
Avatar
Its just fun sometimes casting the everyday in a new light can really fuck people up
Avatar
oh baby you have no idea (edited)
11:14 PM
once you get deep enough and start getting proper theories of everything down it really shifts your views
11:14 PM
like, a most obvious example would be entheogens
11:15 PM
getting a real good proper look at the beyond is some shit, man
Avatar
Entheogens? Never heard of them
Avatar
spiritual experience drugs. Like, DMT, psilocybin, peyote, that kind of stuff
11:18 PM
LSD kind of counts, I guess
Avatar
hahahaha
11:19 PM
Ok i gotcha just never heard the term lol
11:19 PM
I have had very interesting experiences with a few entheogens
11:19 PM
Some of them rather spiritual.
11:20 PM
Some...not so much so
11:20 PM
It's sort of hit and miss and depends entirely upon the individuals normal levels of spiritual awareness and activity
11:20 PM
Giving a staunch atheist LSD will have far different effects than giving a pagan or christian LSD
Avatar
yeah it's good to prepare beforehand. Set up the experience
Avatar
I want to try ayahuasca one day, in a proper shamanic setting and meet the mother
11:21 PM
Hundreds of trip reports all referring to Mother Ayahuasca that talks to them and helps them with their life problems
Avatar
yeah, I did aya as basically my only experience with entheogens. Was, fantastic tbh
Avatar
Sounds like mother nature to me, spiritualized and contacted through the DMT experience
Avatar
was alone the whole time tho, for certain definitions of alone
Avatar
I mean, statistically, what are the chances south american shamans found the TWO plants that create DMT, then allow the body to properly digest it too
Avatar
yeah. Really makes one think
Avatar
Out of the amazing biodiversity in the jungles? It's preposterous tbh
11:23 PM
Honestly, Islea loves to "see" through me when I'm using an entheogen
11:23 PM
Perception is key to reality usually and those things will defintely change your perception
11:23 PM
Do you know any other tulpas that like to get fucked up? hahahahahaha
Avatar
I know cadey+girls do a lot of cool things with weed (edited)
Avatar
I smoke on the regular, now that I live in oregon I mean why not?
11:24 PM
Helps with a bunch of different mental errata
Avatar
yeah like, on the one hand I've never really had weed, on the other I kinda wory what would have been of me if I did (edited)
Avatar
Tradeoffs for sure, but its not as debilitating as the media leads the populace to believe
11:25 PM
Weed helped open me up to empathy and being social
Avatar
oh yeah, I've gotta admit I could use some of that help
Avatar
Also helps with battling depression (sometimes i just don't have the willpower to force myself to feelgood)
11:26 PM
When I don't smoke it I'm generally cranky and irritable, or lethargic.
Avatar
mmmm. Yeah I had to power through the depression without lol. Glad to see I'm on the other side currently
Avatar
Not because of withdrawal, but because I was like that my whole life before i smoked it hahaha
Avatar
I have a very nice book that helped me frame my depression in an actionable way
Avatar
Cannabis is not for everyone but I very much enjoy its changes in perception
11:27 PM
My depression is a chemical imbalance
Avatar
I can play mind games all I want, the fact of the matter is that I have a seretonin/dopamine inconsistenty with nuerotypical individuals
11:28 PM
I prefer the side effects of cannabis as opposed to say, tardive dyskinesia from prolonged antipsychotic usage
11:28 PM
As well as societal conditionings regarding perception of "mentally ill" individuals (and not to mention my metaphysical involvement) I think I prefer the smell of weed to the clatter of pill bottles
Avatar
oooh boy antipsychotics are just, bleh I've heard so many bad things about the stuff
Avatar
Some people NEED them to function properly, like schizophrenics.
11:29 PM
The problem is that they alter behavior and emotions in negative ways and usually have horrible side effects
Avatar
and yeah, society's perception of the mentally ill is honestly all kinds of fucked
Avatar
society is fucked, friendo
11:29 PM
Thats why Iwant to dig a hole in teh desert and live in it in a converted shipping container and power everything off solar and grow my food underground in hydroponics labs
11:30 PM
And only go out in my flamespitting mad max go karts
11:30 PM
>.>
Avatar
schizo only need those to function because no one taught them to properly control it
Avatar
That's incorrect
11:30 PM
i dont' mean to sound rude
11:30 PM
But I've had extended interaction with schizophrenics and there's no controlling hallucinations.
11:30 PM
Or paranoia.
11:30 PM
Or catatonia.
11:30 PM
managing it, and using CBT for sure
Avatar
yeah then again, schizo is a large set of conditions
Avatar
But there's just some shit that can't be mind gamed away.
11:31 PM
I fell in love with someone who was an undiagnosed schizophrenic
11:31 PM
I didn't even know bc I was so deep in the metaphysical shit it all just seemed..normal to me
11:31 PM
Some of it was delusional, but for the most part they got the picture and had the right idea
11:32 PM
Then some serious shit went down and they got institutionalized and medicated and...it just wasn't the same anymore
11:32 PM
they were the same person sure, but the medication took a lot of the glimmer out of their eyes and the fire out of them
11:32 PM
Not to mention completely fucked their third eye to shit.
Avatar
ouchhhh
Avatar
It was heartbreaking in many ways
11:32 PM
But I did get one thing out of it
11:32 PM
I'm not a fucking schizophrenic
11:33 PM
Always thought i was bc of metaphysical stuff.
11:33 PM
Nope. Just crazy in other, less institutionalizable ways
11:33 PM
😄 (edited)
Avatar
yeah schizo is like, when it comes a lot more spontaneous (edited)
Avatar
they told me one time about how a ufo broke through their window, an alien popped out and stuck its tongue out at them then flew away
11:34 PM
They told me they knew it was fake but it was so real they could reach out and touch it
11:34 PM
Seretonin is a hell of a drug
Avatar
oh yeah. I'm also just gonna go ahead and like, post McKenna memes
11:34 PM
Avatar
One of the most common medications, Abilify, only blocks two of the seretonin uptake inhibitors
11:35 PM
TWO
11:35 PM
And it fixes like, 90% of schizophrenias bullshit
11:35 PM
with aparently rampant gambling addiction as the only real side efffect
11:35 PM
>.> weird
Avatar
lol, well that's mania I guess?
Avatar
But it doesn't make you fat or sleep all the time
11:35 PM
Like olanzipine or whatever its called
